… It was the best of times; it was the worst of times…

I know, kind of late but this is my recap of 2010, the worst and best year of my life.

January: My husband and I rang in the New Year with great joy and happiness! This month was such a bittersweet month for us. Sweet: We found out that we were going to be having a boy and my husband was offered a new job. Bitter: We decided for my husband to take the job and had to move to Wausau while I stay back in Madison.

February: My husband officially moved to Wausau and started his new job. This was the start of a very hard time for us. I cried a lot this month. We took a last ‘couple with no kid’ trip to Chicago. While there, we spent time together, ate good food and did a lot of nothing together. We visited the Chicago Art Museum and Museum of Science and Industry.

March: My grandmother fell very ill so we made a last minute trip to see her in the cities. On the way there and back, we talked about my grandmother’s funeral. It was a very emotional trip.

April: My grandmother passed away. This month was the hardest time of my life. As a child, my maternal grandmother help raise me due to my parents being in the hospital with my youngest brother. When I got word of my grandmother’s passing, I was at work that day and planned to only work a half day and then head to the cities for the weekend to see her. My parents were going to drive up that evening too. She didn’t wait for us, probably because she knew that she wouldn’t make it through the whole weekend without leaving us and didn’t want us to see her like that. That day was a blur and I didn’t want to go home to an empty house. I was an emotional wreck at the funeral, I tried to be strong for my mom but it was hard. This deserves a post of its own.

May: Baby and I were super spoiled as we got 3 baby showers. First one was thrown by my sister-in-laws. The second one was thrown by my friends. The third one was from my co-workers. We are very grateful as we were blessed beyond measures! Ryder received EVERYTHING he needed. Towards the end of the month, it was a waiting game.

June: Ryder arrived on June 1st. The best day of my life and I can truly say that I witnessed a miracle, the miracle of life! The rest of the month was a blur though. I have to say, the whole 1 month thing is not for me! HAHAHA! I will have to blog about this and delivery day separately.

July: We celebrated Ryder’s 1 month and we spent most of our time with daddy in Wausau. We celebrated Ashley and Becky’s (my twin sister-in-law’s) graduation. We missed the Moua family reunion due to fatboy’s work schedule.

August: Lynn (my sister-in-law) had her American wedding. We moved into our new place in Wausau.

September: Settled into the life of Wausau. L

October: Celebrated Halloween with Ryder’s cousins Naomi, Maddie and Phil. Ryder learned how to roll over. Ryder’s two bottom teeth came in.

November: Celebrated Thanksgiving in MN. Ryder learned how to roll back and forth and we started him on solids which he loves! First fever and cold, minor case of bronchitis for the little man.

December: Ryder’s first Christmas and he was spoiled! Ryder learns how to sit by himself and takes a bath in his big boy bath tub. We rang in the New Year at home.
